    Description

    Three Ages (Metro, 1923). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Paper for silent comedic genius Buster Keaton is always popular, and this card is of particular significance, as it is from Keaton's very first full length feature film. Three Ages is a parody of D.W. Griffith's epic silent film Intolerance set in the Stone Age, the era of the Roman Empire, and modern 1920s America. This was the film where Keaton made the famous leap between two tall buildings, missed, and unintentionally fell. He didn't scrap the shot, but instead used it to facilitate a chase sequence. Not offered before at Heritage, the card shows corner bumps, a pinhole in the top right corner, and a few minor tears. There are a few minor chips in the lower border, two or which have been reattached with paper tape on the verso. Very Fine-.

    Estimate: $1,200 - $2,400.
