Description

This Gun for Hire (Paramount, 1942). Three Sheet (41" X 79.5").
Alan Ladd, in his breakout role as the hired killer, Raven, is paired with the sultry Veronica Lake for the first time. The duo proved so successful at the box office, that Paramount paired them for a number of other films as well. Lake truly hit her zenith in popularity as her sexy hair style, the "Peek-a-boo" became the hair fashion craze of the WWII era and made her a pinup model for the ages. This amazing three sheet for one of the best film noirs of the 1940s is a very rare item. There were some very minor chips in the center-points, and minor separation along the fold lines. There are also some small surface scratches in the background of the lower left section and there has been some airbrush in the white areas of the poster. The poster displays very well and features a superb images of the three stars on the incredible title-on-gun motif. Fine+ on Linen.
