Description

They Came to a City (Ealing, 1944). British Quad (29" X 39.25") Hans Arnold Rothholz Artwork.
An adaptation of J.B. Priestley's 1943 play, this British film is an exploration of just what an ideal world would look like from the perspectives of many different people. Many of the play's original stage actors star in the film, with a cast headed up by John Clements, Googie Withers, Raymond Huntley, Renee Gadd, and Eva Reeve. A Heritage first, this striking country of origin poster shows edge wear, creasing, pinholes at the top, tape stains, and tears. A couple of tears have cellophane tape on the verso, and one tear extends from the right edge into the center background at the top with archival tape on the verso. Artwork by Hans Arnold Rothholz. Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
