DescriptionThe Wizard of Oz (MGM, 1946). Very Fine- on Linen. First Post-War Release French Grande (47.5" X 62.25") Boris Grinsson Artwork.
Time has been powerless to erase the enduring magic of this wonderful film which has delighted children, both young and old, for generations. Judy Garland brings to life Dorothy Gale, the child in all of us, who yearns to escape to a perfect place over the rainbow. Along her way through the magical land of Oz, Dorothy encounters a host of unforgettable characters: the clever Scarecrow, the sentimental Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, witches both good and bad, and the wonderful Wizard of Oz. What's more, this colorful French grande is a scarce find and features a brilliant image of the main cast by renowned illustrator Boris Grinsson. Light partial touchup has been applied to the folds, pinholes, and some minor chips and tears. These issues may still be slightly visible, as is faint toning.
