The Wizard of Oz (MGM, 1939). Very Fine. Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Dorothy (Judy Garland) looks rather surprised as the Munchkins celebrate the death of the Wicked Witch of the East in this spectacular lobby card for The Wizard of Oz. This is the beginning of Dorothy's journey down the yellow brick road where she encounters the Scarecrow (Ray Bolger), the Tin Man (Jack Haley, and the Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr) before meeting the Wizard of Oz himself (Frank Morgan). This particular lobby card has only been offered at Heritage a few time before, and its rarity combined with its very nice condition make it an extremely desirable memento from the film. The card has some light edge wear, pinholes in the borders and title, minor creases, a minute tear, and subtle surface indentations. There are also faint and unobtrusive smudges and stains mostly in the borders, leaving the main image looking beautiful.

    Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.
