    Description

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (Warner Brothers, 1948). Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
John Huston, who always had a sense of adventure, took his cast and crew deep into the Sierra Madre mountains of Mexico to film this classic tale of greed, and what it does to men's souls. Huston and his father, Walter, would each accept Oscars for directing and supporting actor (respectively), and the film was also nominated for Best Picture. Professional restoration has addressed fold wear and pinholes in the borders. Some of the pinholes have slight tears or are enlarged. Prior to restoration, the poster had a 3.75" trim at the top extending into the red field, and it had a 1.75" trim at the bottom into the lower NSS text. These issues have been well restored, resulting in a fantastic looking piece. Fine on Linen.

    Estimate: $1,200 - $2,400.
