DescriptionThe Thing from Another World (RKO, 1951). Folded, Fine+. Insert (14" X 36").
Based on the novella Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell, Howard Hawks' film is a classic tale of sci-fi/horror paranoia, as a group of scientists in a remote arctic base must defend themselves against a plant-based alien being. This insert oozes with the eerie vibe of the film, as the title appears to be made of a dripping substance consisting of thorns, moss, and skin. Fans of the film, and/or the John Carpenter remake it spawned, will not want to miss this gem! The poster shows slight fold wear and separation, soft creases, pinholes, and small tears. There are some unobtrusive smudges, a tape stain at the top, and a strip of white paper tape in the left border that wraps around to the verso.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
