    Description

The Thing from Another World (RKO, 1951). Folded, Fine. Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style A.
Howard Hawks became one of the pioneers of the science fiction genre that dominated the 1950s with this entry, an adaptation of John W. Campbell's novella Who Goes There? The film was set at an arctic station, cut off from the outside world by the weather, and followed a group of scientists who discover a flying saucer that has been buried in the ice for thousands of years. This poster has had professional corrections for fold wear, pinholes, a few tears, and small chips. There is also a reattached chip in the top left corner. Still visible is some unaddressed color fading. The borders and most of the white background have been airbrushed.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
