DescriptionThe Tenderfoot's Triumph (Unicorn Film Service, R-Early 1910s). One Sheet (27.5" X 41") Reissue Title: A Double Reward.
A silent Western with a twist, this bounty-hunting adventure stars not a strapping cowboy with his valiant steed and a pair of six shooters, but a crafty minister armed with only a prayer book and a donkey. Arthur V. Johnson plays our unlikely hero, out to capture an elusive band of horse thieves against all advice. He hopes to collect the bounty's $500 reward, as well as the hand of the marshal's pretty daughter, played by Florence Barker. Printed in brilliant colors, this stone litho one sheet shows edge and fold wear, fold separations, and some tears and small chips in the borders and folds. There is a vertical tear in the distributor information, a minor paper lift in the upper vertical fold, and some pieces of cellophane and archival tape on the verso. Folded, Fine+.
Estimate: $1,200 - $2,400.
