    Description

    The Tell-Tale Wire (Universal, 1919). One Sheet (27.5" X 42").
By early 1919, Hoot Gibson had "arrived" as a major star of Western movies. In the prior year of 1918, Gibson had only made six short subjects, but with the sudden increase of his popularity, Universal took advantage of his new-found stardom and launched the rodeo star into nineteen new films. In this B Western, Hoot finds himself working alongside his frequent leading lady Josephine Hill in one of her earliest movies. Professional restoration has addressed fold wear and separation, enlarged pinholes, chips, and tearing into the interior. There was a 0.25" - 1" trim along the perimeter of the borders that has been replaced. Good+ on Linen.
