    Description

The Strong Man's Burden (Biograph Studios, 1913). British One Sheet (27.5" X 40").
Though Anthony O'Sullivan may be listed as the director of this silent short, D.W. Griffith had supervised the project and closely mentored O'Sullivan throughout many of his films. In this drama, Lionel Barrymore plays a cop who catches his younger brother, portrayed by Harry Carey, red-handed during a burglary. It's Heritage's first time to offer this bright stone litho one sheet, which is in remarkable condition for its considerable age and shows slight fold separations, an upper horizontal misfold, thin dust shadows, and mild foxing in the borders. There is a split in the lower left horizontal fold. Folded, Very Fine.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
