Description

The Saturday Night Kid (Paramount, 1929). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Based on a stage play by George Abbott, this film stars Clara Bow and Jean Arthur as two sisters working at a department store, their sights set on landing a wealthy husband. The trouble begins when both girls fall for the same guy (James Hall). Bow loses out to the crafty and ruthless Arthur, until the night of a wild costume party, when mistaken identity reveals every character's true self. This lovely and colorful title card shines the spotlight on the ginger-haired "It Girl" of the 1920s, Ms. Bow. Only pinholes in the corners and smudging in the borders can be noted. Very Fine-.
