The Saphead (Metro, 1920). Title Lobby Card (11" X 13").
Based on the stage comedy The New Henrietta, The Saphead marked the feature film debut of legendary comedian Buster Keaton. He plays the unpromising son of a tycoon (William H. Crane) who is given a shot at the stock market and proves less of a fool than his father had thought. Keaton and Crane appear here in this illustrated title card, with Beulah Booker pictured as the hero's love interest and adopted sister. Never before offered at Heritage, this incredibly rare title card shows light edge wear with small tears and corner bumps, and there is some unobtrusive staining and smudging in the borders. It also has a vertical fold with slight separations at the top and bottom. Though this card measures as 11" X 13", it is not trimmed, and still has its original dimensions from when it was first printed. Folded, Fine+.

    Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
