Description

The Rescue (United Artists, 1929). Insert (14" X 36"). One of the top actors of the Golden Age of Hollywood, Ronald Coleman was a dashing leading man, one of the relatively few actors to make a seamless transition from silent to sound cinema, primarily due to his rich, mellifluous speaking voice. Colman won a Best Actor Academy Award for his role in A Double Life (1947), and went on to a successful career in radio and, later, television. The Rescue was the first film in which Colman's name appeared above the title. It is a wonderful adventure film, a perfect vehicle for the star's swashbuckling talents. This insert has a light stain in the bottom right, light foxing in the borders, and a small chip in the bottom left corner, but these small flaws do not detract from its overall desirability. It is a wonderful poster that is sure to enhance any collection. Rolled, Very Fine.
