    Description

The Regeneration of Worthless Dan (Universal, 1912). One Sheet (28.5" X 42.5").
This silent Western drama stars Margarita Fischer under the direction of her new husband, Harry A. Pollard, and opposite fellow silent star R. Henry Grey. Though only five years Grey's senior, Fischer plays a tragic mother who lost her husband and infant son on the same day, while Grey plays the young imposter (the titular Worthless Dan) who tries to pass himself off as her long lost child. This rare stone litho one sheet has touchup to the folds, small tears in the borders, and chips in the corners. Still visible is a small amount of ink stamp bleedthrough in the upper background and some toning. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
