    Description

    The Raven (Universal, 1935). Argentinean Poster (29.25" X 43.25").
This was the second pairing of horror film superstars Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff following The Black Cat (1934). In this classic chiller, Lugosi plays Dr. Richard Vollin, a twisted brain surgeon who seeks revenge on Judge Thatcher (Samuel S. Hinds) for rejecting his proposal to the judge's beautiful daughter (Irene Ware). When escaped con Edmond Bateman (Karloff) shows up on Vollin's doorstep demanding plastic surgery in order to evade the law, the mad doctor deforms the desperate man and uses him as a tool to gain his revenge on the judge. It's been six years since Heritage has presented this gem, a stone litho Argentinean one sheet that features two of the horror film genre's most legendary stars. Paper on this film is incredibly scarce, making this a prime opportunity for savvy poster collectors! The linen has been trimmed up to the borders. Touchup to the folds, slight paper loss at the top and center crossfolds, and small tears along the top horizontal fold. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
