DescriptionThe Postman Always Rings Twice (MGM, 1946). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Drifter John Garfield and the devastatingly attractive Lana Turner plot to bump off her husband, Cecil Kellaway, for his insurance money. Arrested after committing the murder, they beat the rap in court, but soon find they must still pay the price for their crime. Title cards don't often surface for this influential piece of film noir, making this offer a great opportunity for fans of the genre. It has slight edge wear, rounded corners, and a couple of minor tears. There is some smudging in the borders and background, a few thin stains at the top and bottom, and a couple of vertical creases in John Garfield's image. Very Fine-.
Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
