    Description

The Postman Always Rings Twice (MGM, 1946). One Sheet (27" X 41").
John Garfield is a wayward loner who plots with the gorgeous Lana Turner to kill the beauty's husband (Cecil Kellaway) for his insurance money. Based on the novel by James M. Cain, the screenplay for the film required several drafts of many years in order to comply with the Hays Code restrictions. Always in high demand, this dramatic one sheet has been professionally restored to address fold wear and misfolds, chips in the borders, and a tear from the right border into the background. There was a mild tear with a small chip in Lana Turner's forehead and a surface scratch in the upper background that extends into John Garfield's head. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
