    Description

The Postman Always Rings Twice (MGM, 1946). Fine/Very Fine on Paper. Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style A.
James M. Cain's novel is wonderfully adapted to the screen and has become one of the best of all film noirs. Lana Turner and John Garfield play two lovers who become entangled in a murderous affair too intense to last, leaving revenge and tragedy in its wake. Paper for this title is always prized by collectors and this style A half sheet is no exception. Prior to restoration, there were pinholes in the borders, fold wear, a chip in the bottom right corner, and tears in the borders with tape stains on the verso. These were touched up with air brushing.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
