DescriptionThe Nightmare Before Christmas (Touchstone, 1993). Very Fine. Barrier Strip (Lenticular Type 3-D) One Sheet (27" X 40") Advance.
Produced and written by Tim Burton, and directed by Henry Selick, this inventive stop-motion film tells the story of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town who wishes to bring Christmas cheer to his haunted neck of the woods, leading to disaster. This advance poster was produced in very limited quantity, and is extremely hard to find. It is made out of photographic material laminated onto plexiglass that creates a three dimensional effect, known as a barrier strip image in the industry. Displayed in front of light, it projects a mesmerizing, eye-popping three dimensional effect. Signs of use include a few stains and smudges, thin surface scuffs, minor surface blemishes, and some surface wear. Most of these issues are not visible when the poster is illuminated.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
