    Description

The Navigator (Metro Goldwyn, 1924). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Buster Keaton and Kathryn McGuire play pampered socialites who, through a ridiculous set of circumstances, find themselves adrift on a deserted ship, and must fend for themselves for the first time in their lives. It all navigates toward a hilarious conclusion in which the ship is threatened by a cannibal tribe. Keaton's most successful silent comedy was essentially made up as they went along, with most of the work of credited co-director Donald Crisp jettisoned. A first-time offer from Heritage, this brightly colored lobby card has pinholes in the borders and a few minor chips in the left edge that have been reattached with paper tape on the verso. There is staining at the top, which has affected the some of the hand-tinted color in the background. Fine.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
