DescriptionThe Mummy's Curse (Universal, 1944). One Sheet (27" X 41").
In Lon Chaney Jr's final appearance as Kharis, the Mummy comes to life once again seeking his lost love Ananka in (of all places) the swamps of Louisiana. It was an unlikely location for the last in the Mummy series, but audiences didn't care as long as the shock and horror of the Mummy stalked the screen. This ghoulish one sheet is one of the best posters in the series, a format that does not surface often. Minor repairs include touchup to the folds, a pinholes in the top border, and a few small chips in the folds. The linen has been trimmed to the border, running very slightly into the top and left edges of the poster, but this in no way affects the piece's overall presentation. Very Fine- on Linen.
Estimate: $4,000 - $8,000.
