The Monster Maker (PRC, 1944). Very Fine. Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
In a very unusual horror film, J. Carrol Naish stalks the screen as a mad scientist who uses the acromegaly virus to horribly disfigure people and create "monsters" out of them. What's rather interesting is that one of the horror stars of the era (Rondo Hatton) actually suffered from acromegaly and was very popular in the "Creeper" films around the time this film was made in 1944. Also in the cast is Glenn Strange who would go on to appear as Frankenstein's monster the same year this film was made. Found within these cards is slight edge wear, minor tears, thin dust shadows, and unobtrusive stains and smudges. A couple of cards have a bit of slight toning and one of the cards has a couple of pieces of paper tape on the verso.

    Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
