    The Mirror (IMP, 1911). One Sheet (29.5" X 42").
A funny little romance with a side of superstition, this Thomas H. Ince short features Owen Moore and King Baggot vying for the attentions of a young Mary Pickford. Of course, she can't decide between the two suitors, and so visits a fortune teller for help. Although he loses out to his rival in the film, Moore and Pickford had actually been an off-screen couple for quite a while, and had just married a month before the film's release. The only known copy of the film's one sheet, this bright poster gives us a great illustration of our three stars in lovely stone litho printing, with professional touchup applied to the folds and pinholes in the outer background. The side and bottom borders were once trimmed and have been restored, with a 1.5" inch trim in the left border, a 1" trim on the right, and a 0.5" trim at the bottom. All of these trims left some white border prior to restoration, and the top border was not trimmed whatsoever. It has also been airbrushed, making this one sheet ready for display. Fine+ on Linen.
