DescriptionThe Man from Planet X (United Artists, 1951). Very Fine on Linen. Door Panel #4 (20" X 60").
Black Cat director Edgar G. Ulmer guided this low-budget yet thrilling tale about an alien spaceship crash-landing on the Scotland moors. Its passengers then use mind-control on the locals while trying to make repairs. This British science fiction picture has become a cult favorite from the genre. The film stars Robert Clarke, Margaret Field, and William Schallert. This panel, #4, of six produced, is considered by many to be the most desirable. In fact, this is the first time Heritage has offered this rare panel. Although linen backed, this poster has not received any touchup and displays such indications of handling as small creases, minor tears, unobtrusive smudges, and thin dust shadows.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
