The Love Pirate (UFA, 1925). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. German Poster (37.25" X 55") Theo Matejko Artwork.
Paul Richter stars opposite of his then-wife Aud Egede-Nissen in this exciting film, playing a farm boy turned pirate. The story, directed by Arthur Robinson, comes from Wilhelm Hegeler's German novel Pietro the Corsair and the Jewess Cheirinca, which the author helped adapt into a screenplay. A Heritage first from its country of origin, this stunning stone litho poster shows slight edge and fold wear, mild fold separations, pinholes, and light creases. There are some small tears, very minor paper loss, unobtrusive stains, as well as fold toning. The folds are delicate and a few are braced with small pieces of archival tape on the verso. There is an ink stamp in the lower right corner dated February 9, 1925 ten days before the film premiered. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
