DescriptionThe Lone Ranger (Republic, 1938). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27.5" X 41") Chapter 13 -- "The Fatal Plunge."
With his faithful companion, Tonto, the masked Lone Ranger chases outlaws on horseback on this one sheet from the 1938 serial. Beautiful Western artwork and an inset image featuring Tonto (played by Chief Thundercloud) and Allen King (Lee Powell) make this Chapter 13 poster an excellent find. Restoration has been applied to the folds, pinholes, and some small tears and chips in the borders. There was a surface cut in the "T" of the title and the borders have been airbrushed. Unaddressed is a nick in the bottom right corner, light pencil remnants towards the bottom image, and some thin surface scuffs in the interior.
Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
