Offered in this lot is a poster from a series entitled The Hope of a Nation-- A weekly promotional series part of the Works Progress Administration that was passed out to schools during the Great Depression. Used in classrooms, the bright and fun designs were meant to entertain and catch attention of the students to help promote good habits and character traits in students. This poster is the "Industry" poster, distributed in September, 1938 as number 2 in the series to emphasize to children it takes work to make something worthwhile. An unrestored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have slight edge wear, light creases, tears, small paper lifts, and/or unobtrusive stains and smudges. There is a moderate tear form the top edge into the image. Fine+.
