    Offered in this lot is a poster from a series entitled The Hope of a Nation-- A weekly promotional series part of the Works Progress Administration that was passed out to schools during the Great Depression. Used in classrooms, the bright and fun designs were meant to entertain and catch attention of the students to help promote good habits and character traits in students. This poster is the "Leadership" poster, distributed in November, 1937 as number 9 in the series to emphasize to children how one has to improve oneself in order to become an effective leader. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, light creases, or unobtrusive stains. Very Fine-.
