Offered in this lot is a poster from a series entitled The Hope of a Nation-- A weekly promotional series part of the Works Progress Administration that was passed out to schools during the Great Depression. Used in classrooms, the bright and fun designs were meant to entertain and catch attention of the students to help promote good habits and character traits in children. This poster is the "Observation" poster, distributed in October, 1937 as number 8 in the series to emphasize the importance of being alert and aware of surroundings and goings on for students. An unrestored poster that displays signs of use. May include slight edge wear, soft creases, thin dust shadows, minute paper lifts, or light staining. Fine/Very Fine.
