The Haunted Screen & Others Lot by Lotte H. Eisner (Le Terrain Vague, 1965). French Hardcover Book (288 Pages, 6.5" X 9"), Italian Hardcover Book with Original Sleeve (744 Pages, 5.5" X 8.5"), Hebrew Hardcover Book (400 Pages, 5.5" X 8.5"), & Hungarian Paperback Book (296 Pages, 4" X 5.75"). Horror.
A magnificent tribute to German expressionism in film, Lotte H. Eisner analyzes some of European cinema's earliest works, detailing influential films by Fritz Lang, F.W. Murnau, G.W. Pabst, and Max Reinhardt. Included is an Italian hardcover copy for Frankenstein and Company by Ornella Volta (Sugar Editore, 1965), an Hebrew translation of Dracula by Bram Stoker (Elyashar, 1984), as well as a paperback Hungarian translation of Dracula (Bartos Tibor, 1985). Unrestored books with bright color and clean overall appearances. They may have general signs of use, such as mild edge and spine wear, some spine cracks, creases, small tears, surface scuffs, and/or unobtrusive stains and smudges. Some books have ink stamps, tape stains, or unobtrusive writing. The Hebrew translation of Dracula has some white paint on the front page, and the sleeve for Frankenstein & Company has separated edges. Please see full-color, enlargeable image above for more details. Overall Grade: Fine/Very Fine.
