The Graduate (Embassy, 1967). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14"). "And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson, Jesus loves you more than you will know.. wo,wo,wo... " Dustin Hoffman "graduated" to the big leagues with this legendary cult film of the 1960s. As Benjamin Braddock, he's just out of college with no prospects ahead of him when he finds love in the arms of an older, married woman. The lines in this film are memorable such as Hoffman's stammering, "Mrs. Robinson, I think you're trying to seduce me." He complicates his life when he starts dating and then falls in love with the woman's daughter. The film was a sensation and spoke to a generation of young people who felt disenfranchised and were in the midst of a cultural rebellion against the system. Like Hoffman, who became an overnight star with the film's release, the youth of America were "graduating" to an awakening about society around them. The cards all exhibit signs of general use including tack holes in the corners, light smudging and minor crimps within the scene. One card has an "Adults Only" stamp on it. Anything form the original release of this title has become hard to find. Overall condition of the cards is Fine+.
