    Description

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (United Artists, 1968). Italian Foglio Set of 3 (26.75" X 37") Franco Fiorenzi Artwork.
Clint Eastwood (The Good), Lee Van Cleef (The Bad), and Eli Wallach (The Ugly), all vie against each other in this treasure-hunting tale set against the backdrop of the American Civil War. This remains director Sergio Leone's masterpiece and has positioned itself as one of the greatest Westerns ever made, despite the condescending attitude afforded by many American critics towards the film for its Spaghetti Western origins. Because of its lasting influence, collectors search hard for the film's original, country-of-origin paper and this complete set of foglios doesn't disappoint, as each one features excellent artwork by Franco Fiorenzi of a different member of the gold-hunting trio. These posters have undergone restorations with touchup applied to the folds and pinholes in the borders and image area. Clint Eastwood's poster had a small crossfold chip and tapes stains in the corners, Lee Van Cleef's foglio has a tear at the top edge and slight nicks in his check, and the poster of Eli Wallach has a scratch in the bottom left area that is still visible. Both Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef have vertical misfolds. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
