    Description

The Ghost of Frankenstein (Realart, R-1948). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
This eerie one sheet shows off Lon Chaney Jr. in his first and only appearance as Frankenstein's hulking creation, a role that had only ever been played by Boris Karloff prior to this film. Just as big of a draw for die-hard horror fans of yesteryear, Bela Lugosi reprises his famous role of Ygor with character actors Sir Cedric Hardwicke and Lionel Atwill rounding out the bill as the film's essential mad scientists. The fourth entry into Universal's Frankenstein franchise marked the end of The Monster's solo career, and he would hereafter only appear alongside other horror icons like the Wolf Man and Dracula in various crossover films. Horror fans are always eager to add this rare one sheet to their collections, and this example has had touchup applied to the folds with a minor crossfold chip, a few small tears, pinholes, and a couple of misfolds. There was a chip in the lower right corner that has been addressed. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
