DescriptionThe General Died at Dawn (Paramount, 1936). Fine on Paper. Half Sheet (22" X 28").
Adapted from Charles G. Booth's best-selling novel, this lavish Paramount story of Eastern intrigue stars Gary Cooper as an American mercenary fighting on behalf of the local peasants and Madeline Carroll as the daughter of his betrayer. A first time offering at Heritage, this half sheet has been professionally restored to address edge wear, creases, tears into the interior, and a few small chips at the edges. The borders, white background, and red background have been airbrushed, and there is a post-restoration tear in the lower border. This poster was not folded prior to restoration. Fine on Paper.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
