DescriptionThe Gay Divorcee (RKO, 1934). Window Card (14" X 22") Haus Artwork.
Legendary dancing partners Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers star in their second outing together, following their hit debut in Flying Down to Rio. The film was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Art Direction, and Best Music. It would win for Best Song, "The Continental," the first picture to do so. Rogers and Astaire are absolutely radiant on this gorgeous window card, thanks to the wonderful work of artist Haus. Offered for only the second time at Heritage, this charming piece shows slight edge wear, rounded corners, light creases, pinholes, and small tears. Some of these issues have slight touchup, as well as a tear in the left border that extends into the background and has paper tape remnants of the verso. The window card also shows faint staining, and there is a corner bend in the lower right corner with archival tape on the verso. Fine-.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
