DescriptionThe Fountainhead (Warner Brothers, 1949). Fine+ on Linen. Italian 2 - Fogli (39.5" X 55") Luigi Martinati Artwork.
Novelist Ayn Rand adapted her own landmark objectivist novel for this King Vidor directed film. Although some have criticized the film for not presenting the novel's powerful themes effectively, strong performances by Gary Cooper and Patricia Neal still captivated audiences around the world. Fraught with tension between the two stars, this large format Italian poster boasts artwork by Luigi Martinati. Professional restoration has corrected edge and fold wear, fold separations, pinholes, and tears into the interior. There were some chips in the borders and folds, and the borders have been airbrushed. Fine+ on Linen.
Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
