    Description

The Empire Strikes Back (Lucasfilm, 1980). Rolled, Fine/Very Fine. Coca-Cola Promo Poster (12" X 41") Boris Vallejo Artwork.
For the release of The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, famed fantasy artist Boris Vallejo was commissioned to create four posters based on the movie. The posters were used as giveaways for customers who purchased Coca-Cola products, with three of the designs being offered at fast food chains while one design was given away at movie theaters. The poster offered here was used in theaters to advertise the theatrical giveaway poster, arguably the design that best represents the various characters and scenes in the second film of George Lucas's long-running Star Wars franchise. The poster displays edge wear, creases, corner bends, small chips, tears, scuffs, and smudges. There is some light rippling in the image and upper text area caused by stains on the verso, and there are two strips of cellophane tape on the verso bracing a vertical tear in the title.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
