DescriptionThe Eagle (Omnia Films, R-1940s). Italian 2 - Fogli (39" X 55") Paolo Tarquini Artwork.
Rudolph Valentino dons a vigilante's mask as Vladimir Dubrovsky, a cossack on the run from Czarina Catharine II (played by Louise Dresser) and seeking vengeance for the murder of his father. A Robin Hood tale set in Imperial Russia, this thrilling adventure was the first of Valentino's projects for United Artists, and the first to pair him with Vilma Banky, with whom he would later appear with in Son of the Sheik. Never before offered at Heritage, this beautiful Italian poster boasts Paolo Tarquini artwork and has been professionally restored to address fold wear and separations, tears in the borders, and chips in the borders and folds. There was a tear from the lower left border into the word "In," and some of the writing bleedthrough in the title is still slightly visible. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
