The Drums of Jeopardy (Tiffany, 1931). Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27.5" X 41").
Made shortly before Warner Oland's first portrayal of the beloved detective Charlie Chan, this pre-code horror picture stars the Swedish Oland as a mad Russian scientist hellbent on revenge. A remake of a 1923 screen adaptation of Harold McGrath's novel, this version changes the coincidental name of Oland's character back to what he was originally called in the book: Boris Karlov. This one sheet is a beautiful example of stone litho printing, and it has received restoration to address fold wear and separation, pinholes, some tears, as well as an ink censorship stamp in the upper background. Also addressed were a few minor chips in the folds and paper loss in the borders. There are small post-restoration surface lifts, scratches, and indentations. To be completed.

    Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.
