The Desert Man (Triangle, 1917). Folded, Very Fine-. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Unlike later screen cowboys that focused on action and gunfights out on the open plains, William S. Hart preferred to tell stories about people, with the shootouts and bandits being supplementary to the plot. Such is the case of this silent Western, much of which could read much like a melodrama if the setting were changed, costarring Margery Wilson. Indications of use displayed in this lovely stone litho one sheet include slight fold wear and separations, pinholes, minor tears and chips, as well as unobtrusive dust shadows.

    Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
