DescriptionThe Day the Earth Stood Still (20th Century Fox, 1951). Very Fine. Lobby Card (11" X 14").
These three lobby cards hail from one of the best sci-fi films of the 1950s, The Day the Earth Stood Still. A spacecraft lands near the White House, carrying a mild-mannered interplanetary traveler named Klaatu. He admonishes Earthlings for their aggressive ways, advising that they live in peace or accept the consequences -- that rulers from other planets will be forced to incinerate Earth. His "bodyguard" is Gort, a huge robot who beams death rays whenever threatened. General wear includes pinholes, slight edge wear, and unobtrusive smudges. The #5 card has very light foxing and minor surface scuffs in the image, which have very light touchup applied. Very Fine.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
