Description

The Day the Earth Stood Still (20th Century Fox, 1951). Lobby Cards (7) (11" X 14").
These seven highly sought lobby cards hail from one of the best sci-fi films of the 1950s, The Day the Earth Stood Still. A spacecraft lands near the White House, carrying a mild-mannered interplanetary traveler named Klaatu. He admonishes Earthlings for their aggressive ways, advising that they live in peace or accept the consequences -- that rulers from other planets will be forced to incinerate Earth. His "bodyguard" is Gort, a huge robot who beams death rays whenever threatened. The #7 card has been trimmed along the left border. The #2 card has pinholes in the corners, two small paint drips, and a chip in the bottom left corner. The #5 card has pinholes in the corners and two small chips in the top left corner. The #3 card has pinholes in the corners, creasing at the top left, and a faint censor stamp in the bottom right corner. The #4 has light creasing and pinholes in the corners. The #6 and #7 cards have pinholes and a censor stamp as previously mentioned. The #8 card has small paper loss in the bottom left corner and pinholes in the corners. The original 20th Century Fox envelope is included. Fine/Very Fine.
