    Description

The Dam Busters (Associated British-Pathe, 1955). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. British Quad (30" X 40").
This film is the story of the development and utilization of "bouncing bombs," the ingenious device the British used during WWII to blow up the German's Ruhr dam. The final sequence is a dramatization of the actual event, and the special effects used are considered a masterpiece of the cinema. Dam Busters was Britain's biggest box-office success of 1955. This country of origin poster has received partial restoration to address edge wear, some fold wear and separations, pinholes, and creases. There are small tears at the borders and a vertical tear in Richard Todd's image. These issues are still partially visible, as are dust shadows at the edges.

    Estimate: $3,000 - $6,000.
