DescriptionThe Charge of the Light Brigade (Warner Bros., 1936). Very Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
After the success of Captain Blood, Warner Bros. reunited the team who made the film, director Michael Curtiz, and stars Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland for this very loose adaptation of the real-life events of the Light Brigade of Lancers. The major of the Brigade (Flynn) takes revenge for the massacre of women and children without orders to do so. This poster promotes the love angle of the film, but the real stars were the action sequences of the actual charge. The poster, prior to being linen backed, had only light fold wear, and pinholes in the corners.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
