    Description

The Canyon of Adventure (First National, 1928). Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41"). Style A.
Making its debut for auction at Heritage, this excellent style B one sheet gives a preview to all of the Western thrills promised in the title. The only other paper we have offered for this film is a style A one sheet and a lobby card, both sold over a decade ago, making this a very rare chance indeed for cowboy collectors. From the earlier days of his career, this picture cast Maynard as a land agent in pre-statehood California, with Virginia Brown Faire and Eric Mayne costarring. Both Maynard and Tarzan look great in this poster's colorful stone litho printing, which has benefitted from professional repairs to fold wear and separation, creases, chipping at the borders and folds, as well as tears. The borders, upper text, and parts of the background have been airbrushed. After these corrections, the poster ready for display in any Western collection.

    Estimate: $2,500 - $5,000.
