DescriptionThe Bull-Dogger (Norman, 1921). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Three Sheet (41" X 77.5").
With captivating cast portraits and dramatic action scenes, this stone litho three sheet conjures the cowboy spirit of the storied American West. The film was inspired by the great Bill Pickett, master Rodeo Bull-Dogger. Pickett is acknowledged as the originator of the bull-dogging technique, which is wrestling a steer to the ground by grabbing its horn, a talent that earned him a National Championship award. He was inducted into the National Rodeo Hall of Fame in 1972. Steve Reynolds, Bennie Turpin, and Anita Bush co-star. There has been restoration to edge and fold wear, some fold separations, mild creasing, moderate tears, and small chips. Some of these issues are not fully addressed and are still visible, along with soft surface scuffs. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
