Description

    The Black Pirate (United Artists, 1926). Lobby Cards (3) (11" X 14").
No one did swashbuckler better than the ever acrobatic Douglas Fairbanks. This outstanding adventure, filmed in early Technicolor, is one of his best. He stars as a nobleman who swears vengeance on the pirates who killed his father. This lot contains three cards from the set in a terrific grade. The nice thing about these cards is the double format of the photo outlay. There is a different full length shot of Fairbanks on each card, as well as the clever design of enclosing the scene taking place within the frame of the galleon. Albert Parker directs this impressive adventure, with leading lady Billie Dove, and co-stars Donald Crisp and Anders Randolf. There is clear tape on the top corners of the reverse and there are very slight corner bends in the bottom borders. Very Fine+.
