    Description

    The Birds (Universal, 1963). Insert (14" X 36").
Tippi Hedren shrieks in terror on the insert for this fright-filled horror flick, telling the story of a small town overrun by murderous flocks of birds. From the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, the film is one of the director's most spine-tingling in his repertoire. Hitch is even quoted on posters for the film as saying, "It could be the most terrifying motion picture I have ever made." Light touchup has been applied to the folds, with with no other restoration on the poster. Unaddressed wear includes pinholes, slight creases, mild surface scuffs, and unobtrusive stains and smudges. The insert displays surface rippling, possibly due to the backing process, and the linen has been trimmed to the poster's borders. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.

    Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
