    Description

    The Bat Whispers (Atlantic, R-1930). Folded, Fine+. One Sheet (27" X 41").
This film would be one of only a handful of 1930 features shot in widescreen, with a compositional emphasis on forced perspective and inky shadow play. Bob Kane has often cited this film as his primary inspiration for the comic character of Batman. The poster shows edge and fold wear, mild fold separations, pinholes, and slight creases. There are a few small tears at the edges, minor chips in the borders and folds, as well as a scratch in the upper background that extends through the paper in some places. Other signs of usage include mild staining and a strip of paper loss in Gustav von Seyffertitz's image. From the Theaters of Old Detroit Collection. Folded, Fine+.

    Estimate: $400 - $800.
